Chamber Furnaces
1700, 1800°C / 3092, 3272°F

Vecstar offers high temperature chamber furnaces for continuous use up to 1650°C (3002°F) for models XF1, 2 & 3 and 1750°C (3182°F) for models XF4, 5 & 6.

  • Heating is provided by high quality Molybdenum Disilicide elements positioned vertically down both sides of the chamber, giving maximum temperature uniformity and rapid heat up times.
  • Fully insulated door pivots vertically and keeps the 'hot face' door insulation away from the operator when accessing the chamber.
  • Door is fully interlocked by using a safety cut off switch, which isolates power to the elements when accessing the chamber.
  • Fitted with a choice of digital programmer (see seperate information).
  • Works off a single phase power supply (some models can be adapted for three phase operation).
  • Ultra 'high grade' insulation materials are used, incorperating a double skin design to ensure low outer surface temperatures.
  • Casing is finished with a hard wearing 'stove enameled' 'powder coated' process.
  • Furnaces can be supplied with many options (see accessories page).
  • Fitted as standard with independent over-temperature protection via a digital alarm, giving protection to both the furnace or furnace contents at any temperature.
  • High temperature chamber furnaces are ideal for general laboratory, high temperature sintering & ceramic research.

Ashing Furnaces 1200°C / 2192°F
Vecstar offer Ashing Furnaces in 2 popular chamber sizes.
Ideal for ash determination, featuring ease of operation allied to a robust construction, maintaining the same high standards for safety and efficiency as all the Vecstar range of products.

  • Continuous operating temperature of up to 1150°C (2102°F). Ashing Furnace
  • Heating provided via a resistance wire wound ceramic muffle, giving maximum temperature uniformity and economical heat up times.
  • Door opens vertically to ensure the hot plug is away from the operator at all times.
  • Door is fully interlocked by using a safety cut off switch, which isolates power to the elements when accessing the chamber.
  • Choice of digital controller (see seperate information).
  • Works off a single phase power supply.
  • Ultra 'high grade' insulation materials are used, incorporating a double skin case ensuring a low outer surface temperature
  • Fitted with a 50mm exhaust port and air inlet holes, to give the correct throughput of air through the chamber (see diagram)
  • Casing is finished with a hard wearing 'stove enameled' 'powder coated' process.
  • Furnaces can be supplied with many options (see accessories page)
  • Typical users would be food analysis labs, agricultural research and general laboratory.
When ashing materials a good airflow through the chamber is essential for complete combustion.
A 50mm bore chimney, 610mm high gives the required air flow. Air is drawn through inlets in the back of the furnace under the hearth tile, being pre-heated before entering the chamber, over the samples and up the chimney.
